Job Title: General Store Cashier / Stocker
Reports to: General Manager
General Responsibilities:
-
Greeting customers.
-
Informing customers.
-
Establishing or identifying prices of goods.
-
Applying the price stickers.
-
Keying in or scanning the price of merchandise.
-
Determining the total price.
-
Participate in development of window displays and counter displays under the supervision of the General Manager.
-
Keep stock rooms organized and clean.
-
Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
-
Encourage sales and the Memphis experience.
-
Be knowledgeable in regards to our sister venues such as Blues City Café, Club 152 on Beale, etc.
-
When receiving incoming merchandise, check inventory to invoice and confirm shipment.
-
Handle cash and credit transactions in an honest and professional manner.
-
Controlling and checking outgoing merchandise.
-
Wrapping or bagging products.
-
Receiving payments and reconciling them with total sales.
-
Preparing deposits, closing the till and putting back the float.
-
Maintaining clean and orderly checkout areas, stock rooms, and general store area.
-
Attention to detail.
-
Submit to controls.
-
Remain attentive in an often busy environment.
-
Participate in monthly or quarterly inventory counts.
-
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
